William Wetmore Story, Angel of Grief. Story made this scultpure in memory of his wife Emily. It should remain his last work. Only fitting, that an sculptor whose works have often been critizied as anaemic and unemotional has created one of the most moving sculptures of all time.
Most of my trips ended in Florence’s main railway station, waiting for the overnight train to Munich. And most of the times I was to exausted to go and explore Florence. Instead, I went to a nearby grocery store, bought some food, and spend the time far out on the quiet part of a platform.
